Has anyone used the lan port of the TDE200 to send smdr to a pc? I'm having trouble and it should be pretty cut and dried..... Also the customer has a Windows 7 machine so I don't think it has hyperterm.
Any suggestions?

Is client outside the location????
Telnet by following these steps on vista and win 7:
Start
Control Panel
Programs And Features
Turn Windows features on or off
Check Telnet Client
Hit OK
After that you can start
Telnet via Command Prompt.
you type in the system ip address
like this o xxx.xxx.x.x.x [xxxx]
and the it will ask you for a password

No, the motel office is located in another building close enough to the maint. closet that we can network the two.

if you have a problem with getting 4 digit port in there download Zoc or the free addition of hyp term
for him ...
