I was talking to a new customer that has a kx-ta824 and a tvs-50. The claim they used to forward their calls to an answering service by pickup up the main line, hitting *72, wait for a second dial tone and enter the # of the ans. service. They say now, it no longer is working. Is this a function of the 824? They hit *73 to cancel the call forwarding. It isn't listed in the feature number table.

This is a central office feature. They must pick up on the first CO line and then dial these codes. It is definitely not a feature of the 824.

If it stopped working, then they are either A) Doing it wrong, B) The telco took this feature away for some reason, or C) They switched service providers and didn't ask for the call forwarding feature.
