Hello every one!
Could some one tell me how to intergrate /install an electronic door striker with a Panasonic KXT 824? I have the door phone card installed with 2 door stations. The door stations are working normal, but when I try to open the electronic striker it doesn't work.

This is what I used to install the striker:

1- 12 volt DC Power transformer
I - 12 volt DC Door striker

I connected one wire from the 12 Volt DC transformer to the striker.
I connected the other wire from the 12 Volt DC transformer to the LEFT port in relay #4
I connected one wire from the other terminal from the striker into the RIGHT port of relay #4
The 12 Volt power transformer is connected to a live 120 volt power line.

When someone calls from the door station# 2 ( next to the electronic door ) I answer the intercom call and I press the code 554. I hear a clicking noise in the PBX but the striker won't open.

I called Panasonic Tech Support but they can't help because the " Electronic Door Striker is NOT in their Wiring Diagrams "

Thank you in advance for your reply

If you are using door phone 2 why are you on relay 4
Also when talking to door station you only need to dial 5 to release the door and it would release door relay 2 if you are connected to doorphone 2

Wow, what a different description than the one you used in the other forum. After you test your polarity on the door opener, try using relay TWO. Now, you can activate it from the intercom by dialing 552, or 5 if you're talking to the door.

In the installation manual (IM) there's a cute picture showing relay 4 reserved for a door chime.
