I've come in behind the installation company to support an 824. Ive done some 624s and 1232s - enough to know my way aropund, but no expert.
The customer wants to lengthen the CFBL time to max, 20s. It is on 15s and works great. When I change prog 202 to 20, the caller just gets audible ring. The call forwards somewhere after 4 rings, but not to voice mail. (I only tested the one station)
Is there something else I need to change?

Couple of quick clarifications... I stated CFBL...It should be CFNA (as you probably figured out!)
Also, when the call forwards, the station stops ringing, so I am suspecting the call went somewhere.
Thanks!

there is no reason for that to affect call fwd destination, unless it is coming through disa and the intercept timer also set to 20 sec is redirecting the call

With my travels in Panasonic land, I've never dabbled with DISA. Those I've worked on have had voice mail w/ AA.
I'll look at DISA (???) to se if they are using it.

it is very basic, but works ok. The svm card can cause more heart ache.
If they don't have a Voicemail, does the system answers the phone with options. if so it must be using disa.

The 824 has no external VM. Incomming calls hit an AA script that lists extension #s to dial. Retail sales is 127 which rings 3 times then CFNA to BV where a mailbox greeting occurs.
Now that I think about it, they must be using DISA.
