Does anyone have the serial port pinout on a kxta824? I would like to run the console manager thru the serial port via a remote serial to ethernet adapter. Noticed the pins are male so I assume this is to also drive a printer.

Not to be mean, but my TA-824 IM has 2 pages (65 and 66) of pinouts and translations for DB-9 and DB-25 hardware.

Try reading it sometime.

not to be mean but unless software sees that adapter as a real comm port which is doubtful it will not work.if you insist on trying its a stock straight thru cable if you hook it all up and it does not work add a null modem adapter to the mix.if that device has an ip address you will be able to telnet into it for call smdr records but thats it .

since the 824 comes with modem and if you are doing this for remote access in the same building or outside for that matter frog an ext over (make it ext 199)to a co port and set that line to modem then dail in !

Read the manual, carl, and got the pinout. Works like a charm thru the adapter that I had to make as the Digiport acts like a real serial port. Thanks for the info!
