Hope fully I can explain this correctly.
ISSUE: Unable to connect to the TVA 50 via the USB Maintenance Console.
HISTORY: Customer has a Panasonic TVA 50 voice mail and KTX 824 PBX. They have the CD roms for the Maintenance Console Software for both the PBX and Vmail and we reinstalled that on both his laptop running XP and my laptop running XP and found the drivers for the Panasonic USB on line. (as they are not included on earlier CD roms)
We both can connect to the KTX.
We both are aware that the USB drivers we downloaded for the voice mail Maintenance Console may disable the KTX USB Maintenance Console, proved that, reinstall the KTX USB console drivers if you need to connect again.
Using the same USB cable we get the following error when we try to connect to the TVA 50
ERROR: Main Program Version Not Supported (2.18)
They used to be able to connect to the TVA when the system was first put in but have since had to low level that laptop and lost any files that the original installer provided them.
POSSIBLE CAUSE I am thinking that the TVA USB Maintenance Console is older (vs 1.1) and not compatible with these latest USB drivers but I can not find any other USB drivers. As you know even though every system comes with a set of CD rom installers, the Maintenance Console for the TVA 50 is not available on line unless you are a Panasonic dealer (I am not any more)
Any thoughts as to what I may be missing?
I assume I need someone to let me know privately where I can find either these common USB drivers or the latest TVA Maintenance Console (TMC) with the latest USB drivers. Will the latest version TMC work on what is probably the original firm ware on the TVA 50?
WHY? and this all got started because they called in to check their general messages or change a greeting and some how through MB 999 system admin changed or deleted something for the day mode and when the vmail picks up it states it's greeting and then hangs up.
ONE OTHER QUESTION Does the TVA 50 have a answering schedule table over ride that you can activate with a simple call? i.e. emergency snow day so you put in place an emergency closed mail box, record the greeting and set up its dial action tables, call in, turn on Answering Schedule Table Over ride and point it to the snow day mail box and that stays active till you turn off Answering Schedule Over ride.
I know AST and DAT are not Panasonic terms...
Thanx and Be Well

Not the drivers. You simply have the wrong version of the maint. tool. Just need to upload the correct version. If the drivers were the issue, you would not have gotten that error message.

C D Comm is correct, it is the software version not the usb driver. The kxta tool is like the old kxtda tool, you have to load the older version first then the next one up, they are not backward compatible if you have a v2 system and a v3 program tool.
