Last week I replaced a TDA200 with a Tadiran IPXOffice at a local car dealership. They are wanting me to install the TDA at their used car lot. I didn't install this TDA and don't have the INSTALLER password. Although I've been cerified on the TDA for 6 years, I've never had to default one.

Will I loose the registration if I default it? How do I default it?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but there is a reset button and a system initialize switch. I think if you put the switch on System Initialize and push the reset button, it clears everything. Have you tried the default password?

Yes you will lose the registration. Power off, put the switch on the MPR in initalize and power up.

Is there a way to clear the PC password without a default? The PT password is still default, I can get in thru it.

PM sent. There's a trick to retrieve all passwords in most TDA systems.

Re-initializing the system will not force you to re-register the system.
