When I try to program an unused CO button for Two-Way Record (feature code 90) I get a two-beep error tone. This seems to happen regardless of the jack/phone I am programming. The VM is setup for DPT Intergration and all other functions seem to work as desired. I don't see where I am missing something from reading about that feature in the manuals. Anyone have an idea on this?

are you sure you have a -5 did you try assigning A -2WAY REC 165 BUTTON with software?

When I try to do it in my TDA without a DPITS VM port, I get 3 beeps, but when I do it on my office system it works. So, the question is do you have a properly programmed port? I can turn off my TVA system and it still takes the command.

Try dialing 165 alone and see if it answers, then try 90165 under the button.

kxtvet- Yes, I am sure it's a -5. Yes, I tried assigning a 2-way record button in software and the software indicates that the Flex CO button is assigned 2-way record for the proper (165) VM Ext. However when on a call, pressing the 2-way record button does nothing.

Carl- When you say properly programmed port, are you refering to the VM port or the PTS station port? Dialing 165 gets the VM as it should. 90165 under the button produces the 3-beep error tone.

Then I'd be checking the integration again. The port is not a DPITS VM port or it would take the 90165.

According to the TVS125 when it boots, DPT Interface connection is established. That tells me that intergration is as it should be, no? Everything else in the VM is working as it should. I could default it and start over but hate to loose all of it's programming....

One of us is not understanding this correctly. The TVS is immaterial. Look at program 117-119.
It's where you assign the VM port for Digital integration. I tried to tell you this. It doesn't matter where the port is located..relatively or what the TVS is doing, it's all in the port programming of the TD, the same as it is in all Panasonic systems. I can make port 108 be my VM port, but it won't take the 90xxx programming UNTIL I make it a VM port.

Okay. Last public comment. Take this to PM if you want to continue. It's down to an installer problem.

PGMS 117-119 are as follows:

117- 10 (Port 10)
118- VM01:#10-1:165
119- VM01:#10-1:EXG1

This is the way the programming has been and still is.

Has this ever worked? If it was programed with the software and then you try to program it with the phone you will get error beeps. It's telling you it is already programed. When you try to use this feature does the button light up when you press the key?

No, it has never worked, until now.... First tried it from the buttons then the software.

This morning I checked the programming again from the software and noticed that the button programming was pointing to the Ext (103) in question rather than the VM Ext (165). Changed that and now it works. Not used to Panasonics drag & Drop programming so had to figure that out on my own....

Button programming still doesn't seem to work fron a PTS, even on a phone not programmed by software but as long as I can do the programming via software all is good.
