Still a little new programming Panasonic, still finding some things I don't know. I have a customer that has an emergency mailbox for after hours. They want it to call out to a cell phone when a message is left. I have not gotten this to work as of yet. I see the section where you can have 3 different things programmed and where to tell it how many tries and when to try it. But if I leave a message it does nothing. Is there something I am missing to do either in the phone system (TDA50) or voice mail? Right now I have their DX 80 with the emergency box. Any help would be appreciated.

I have been looking around and saw in the notification parameters, the notification schedule. Did not know if you also have to have external message delivery turned to active? I talked to another tech briefly and he said that I didn't have to worry about that but the COS in the phone system and voice mail. Still would like some in-site please.

it could be 2 things. 1 is cos of the mailbox is in a cos that is allowed external message notation, and 2. the voice mail ports have to be in a cos to allow calls external. make sure all voice mails most importantly the mailbox's 999 and 998 have passwords to prevent toll fraud

What do I change in the phone system cos to allow the external calls? I assume it would be under CO & SMDR; call forward to CO?

thats it! but also look in flexible day/night outward dialing assignments for the exts that the voicemail physically connected to that will stop vm from grabbing a trunk too!
