Customer has KX-t7220 phones.. we got them 3 new KX-T7720 phones when I plug phone into the jack that is working with the 7220, I get some lights on the lines but the phone buttons do not work and no dial tone.. the 7220 works fine. is there something missing from programming or wiring?

The 72XX series phones only require the second pair to operate, while the 77XX ones require both pairs. My guess is that the first pair isn't connected at the jacks or isn't cross-connected at the KSU.

No significant programming is necessary. The 7720 is an analog set.

Third thing that can stop a hybrid phone working on a jack is if XDP has been enabled on that port
