A customer has requested a phone system equipped with 4 CO lines, 6 wired phones, 3 cordless phones, 1 door intercom, and a camera at the door that is connected through the phone system for control (not to see a visual on the display of the phone). I have never had a request for a camera connected through the phone system before; don't even know if it's possible. My plan is to propose a TDA50G system but I don't know what I might need for the camera contol. If anyone has knowledge of a configuration like I need, I would love to know how the camera was connected. help

How do they want to control the camera thru the phone system if they won't be able to see the picture on the display?

The nt-400 IP phone does integrate with Panasonic IP cameras and you can view, ptz etc right from the display. this might be what they're looking for.

Appreciate the info from Dalavar and 94astro. I have requested more information from the customer as to how they want things to work, but as of yet they have not responded. Trying to get a jump start on things....sounds like the nt400IP phone may be the way I need to go, but until I hear back from customer, won't know for sure. Thanks to you both for your input!

With the right drivers you can make a Panny NetCam screen pop when you dial an extension.
