I tried to find an existing thread with this info. I upgraded a CPC-S to a CPC-M and cleared the RAM. The CPC-S was setup to answer a ringing line without pressing the FF button. I turned on ringing line (FF3 option 12=1) on all extensions but only #1 (EXT 100) is working. Is another step besides enabling the feature at all the extensions needed? I had no problem programming pageing group etc. What am I missing?

You did get that it's a DBS with the RAM cleared right? All extensions ring by default.

After rereading my response I see it does sound a bit snide. Sorry about that. It's just that I spent three days reading this entire Panasonic section and saw many threads where a TA or other system (not DBS) required a line to be programmed to ring or someone gave info about a different type of 824 when the person asking the question said they were working on a DBS so I was careful to mention the specifics. Again sorry to let my frustration show. It's just that after all that research (also scowered the programming manuals) I am still drawing a blank here. Again sorry sir and thanks for your input.

BTW, It is again after hours so I am going back to the customer site where they have been working with the CPC-S until I can figure this out. I will put the CPC-M back in and try something we just found where you dial ON/OFF 70 after enabling auto-pickup ringing line. Will update y'all when I get back.

You need better patience with the manual :-)
Check out Auto Pickup FF3 xx# 12# 1#
It hides right after Prime Line Pickup (11#)

Geez read the OP lol. Well, it looks like the lithium battery on the CPC is almost dead. Near as I can figure after programming the auto pickup I pulled the board for a sec to see if J3 was cut and put the board back during which time I lost the 12=1 on some of the extensions INCLUDING the one I was using to try picking up the test call. How embarrassing! After a full reprogram everything is behaving as expected. Thanks for the feedback guys and for your forgivenness Alva. Good advice Carl. This is not the first time Sundance has pulled my butt out of the fire. Now to find a new Lithium battery before a long enough power fail to kill the UPS!
