Hope this isn't the new system that I've been hearing they're gonna come out with the end of the year.

WOW, that is bad. I saw the writing on the wall awhile ago. I guess the reality just hits harder then I thought it would.
A couple months ago a good customer wanted me to come out and connect his "IP Phones" that he bought from somewhere. I was a little sceptical thinking there is no way this is going to work. Sure enough I hooked em up and off he went to program ringing and auto-attendent. He said thanks and I drove away thinking "wow, this is scary, what is this industry coming too".

as far as i can see they are becoming a sip trunk provider

So when the customer has 'un-resolvable' problems, who pays the local tech, Panasonic or the customer? I know who I'm collecting from and it will be cuf. (CASH UP FRONT) Minimum 2 hours plus travel and material.

They should have kept this venture on the low low now when you quote a tda 50 or ncp 500 or a 824 even the customer could conceivably have another quote in front of them from the Panasonic cloud !As far as servicing or about sorting Broadsoft issues the only thing you could pay me double to do is rip it out and install my gear or they can get someone else!

I can't believe Panasonic have come out with this. These are very dark days for anyone who owns or works for a small business phone system company.
