Hello, I have a customer who has a Panasonic KX-TDA 50 phone system. They asked that we connect an external ringer (Viking PA2A) to a specific ext so it will also ring the external ringer. The phone is a digital ext (Its a KX-WT125 wireless phone) If I remember correctly there is a analog part of this ext. that can be associated with the digital part of the ext. I believe when we initally set up the phone system we deactivated the analog portion. I am still a novice at programming on the Panasonic line so any advice/instructions is greatly appreciated. :bang:

To state the question in a more straight forward manner is that my plan was to connect the external ringer to the analog portion of the cordless ext. However the cordless ext. does not have dial tone on red/green like the other digital exts.

When we install TDA-50's we reserve one of the 4 base ports for such events. Program the analog port to follow the ring of the cordless and send it to the external ringer.

Isn't that a dect cordless that connects through a cell station Kxt0155 and is registered on the system You could set up a spare slt extension with a bell on it and in extension settings put the dect as a wireless xdp. Note you will have to make the main extension number the slt as the cordless will become this extension number

Yes it does connect to a cell station and I do have it connected to one of the base ports. I however am not sure on how to reactivate the analog part of the port.

What card is it connected to, is it a dhlc card or just a dlc As Carl said It may be the only slt is on the first 4 ports but if you have a spare slt on the system make it a xdp and swap the dect number for the slt then set up wireless xdp to the slt port and they both will ring

OBT,
It is connected to the last port in the DHLC Card. I would like to associate the analog and the digital sides of the port as the other ext's are already.
For example when I place my buttset on the red/green pair of ext 101 and go to a different ext. (for example: ext 102) and dial ext 101 it rings both the digital ext and my buttset.

Is the cell a kxt 0155, if so you can not use a slt as a parrell on this unit as it is not a extension, if you look on prog tool it should show that port as a cs. If so Make sure the slt xdp is Enabled for that port and you should get dt. Then use wireless xdp to parrell that port with the cordless
