Been awhile, but I THINK it has to be version 3 or higher.

You have to upgrade the DLHC/DLC cards if not correct version.

did not do any of that this 50 started off as a v nothing and uped it to v2 and dt's run just fine.

This was a tda 50 bought it before the manual was printed did not have to reg it either and only bumped it up to a ver 2 no card updates really !!!

You can't upgrade digital cards on a tda50.
