I have an old Panasonic KX-td1232.

I addded another two lines to it and programmed them to ring via the individual phone.

However, caller ID is not showing up, rather just the line number.

How can I get it to show up?

Thanks

Do you have a Caller ID board equipped internally on these two lines?

There was lines 1-4 already installed. And caller Id shows up on them. This is a new one that is going to the 5,6 jack.

Does it need a second card? How would I check if there is one?
If not, what model is it so I can order it.

Thanks

You need another KX-TD193 card. They each cover 4 lines and the system supports up to three total (2 inside cabinet, 1 inside a KX-TD180).

You'd check for another by opening up the KSU, but you really need to call a qualified tech for this kind of work. They're not particularly easy to install and both the KSU main board and the card are easily damaged if the procedure is not done correctly.

You still have to tell TD that the 5,6 lines have caller id and by default it is turned off in programming .If you have TD dos maint software you can ck to see if the second card is in there with out popping the cover and also run a test on second card but doubtful that the second card is in there since it was costly for end user late model -7 had the first 193 in it about the end of life of the TD product.
