I work in the cabling industry, and my boss tells me he has this Merlin phone system that he's wanted to sell for a long time but never knew who to sell it to. We dont really deal in the telco business outside of copper and fiber cable. He has it stored in our warehouse and if someone was interested, I'd personally go get the information off of it and post it, but my question - is there anyone out there using this system who is even interested? otherwise it can stay where it is as far as im concerned. Counting and separating the individual pieces may be more work than I intended on doing!

its the only pic i have on photobucket, ill get another one sooner or later : P

Im just a chick who loves Mopar, R1 bikes, my '52 Chevy bubba truck that Im rebuilding. Work consumes the rest of my life with fiber optic and copper cables -

Try checking ebay. There is a ton of that stuff around and it has little or no value to anyone in the business.

It depends how old it is. If it's a Merlin Classic or Plus then pitch it. If it's a Legend or Magix, it may be worth something...

Tom, I was given that same advice about the Panasonic DBS 40 system I talked to you about!

I think it would be wise to correctly identify this device and all associated telephones.

It can probably be donated to some charity, rather than just messing up a land fill.

RULE NUMBER 2, "THINKIN' WON'T GET IT, YOU GOTTA KNOW!" RULE NUMBER 3, if you need TIER-3 SUPPORT on a LEGEND or MAGIX, go to http://home.comcast.net/~merlinman -

Check for a local college or tech school with a telephony course that might be able to use it.

Even to this day, Merlin Classic equipment can be found in doctors and dentist offices. Lots of 206s, 410s and 820s being sold on eBay.

Western Electric built this stuff for the long haul.

True, it is very reliable and was built to last. The store I used to work at still has one plugging along.
