We currently have a Digital 128 system running ver 3.05B.
I just purchased a new T1 card from a third
party that is #76-110-2100/7.
Does anyone know if this will work with
my current 3.05B version or will I need
to upgrade. If so what would the minimum
version need to be?

You have to check your MPD card.
MPD cards have a part number and a style version. In some cases 2 MPD's have the same part number but different style versions.
Style versions can determine what capabilities are supported in a system. The part numbers and styles are etched on the component side of the printed circuit board (PCB).
S128 MPD style B supports versions 1-3 (but not ACD, T1, or E1)
S128 MPD style C supports versions 1-3 including ACD, T1 and E1. Style C supports the DSP T1 (discontinued). DPLL clock board was is located on the DSP T1.
To support the DSP T1 the C style MPD must have version 2.05 MEM software and MPD firmware version 2.D.
S128 MPD style D supports versions 1-3 including ACD, T1 and E1. Style D supports the ARD T1 (current production). The DPLL was moved to the MPD card.
To support the ARD T1 the D style MPD must have version 2.07B through 3.06C only and the MPD firmware should be version 3.8.
You say new T1 card. New to you or is the third party a Telrad Dealer and it is a new card?
If not new check front tab (blue) should have ARD on it and the U50 chip should be 2.E(D9D2) to 3.8(0274). If it is new it will be 3.9(ADCD).

Thanks for the reply.
My MPD is Style D3 V3.8 (EB6A).
The U50 on the T1 card is Ver.4.0 (b7ca).
The blue tab only says T-1.
This was apparently a refurb not new.
The sticker on the T-1 board says "TELRAD
new product warranty 05/01".
The number on the T-1 board is
76-110-2100/7 Style D7.

Sounds Ok should work for you.
Did you get the DPLL card when you got the T1 card?
The DPLL is a 1.5"x 1.5" card that mounts on the MPD in the lower right corner.

No, I did not get the DPLL card.
What are the chances of finding one
without purchasing another T-1 card?
Are they MPD version or firmware
specific?
Also, would you know what type of
CSU/DSU I would need to work with
the T-1 card?
Thank you again for your help.

CSU/DSU is by preference. I use Adtran TSU120's or Adtran ACE for just CSU. Call the people that you got the T1 card from they should supply it if it was new. List price from Telrad $250. ouch They may still have it mounted on there MPD. Or maybe Sundance has one.

You can check out these people they have good equipment and great tech support to walk you through the CSU or CSU/DSU hook up and programming if needed. If you are not going to split the channels for data then all you need is a CSU. But if in the future you want to add some for data then get the CSU/DSU.

Ask for Barry
They carry the CSU/DSU equipment.
