There is somebody crankcalling aour operator and we don't know who. Is there a way to determine who is calling? The caller ID says" pres. restr." Somebody help

I too get a bunch of out of the area and Pres, not sure what they are.

Is there a way I can avoid these calls or trace them? Our reception said she has a lot of harrasing calls and wants to avoid them if possible.

I don't know how. I think they are cell calls that come up as Pres. (that's only a guess) The out of the area are generally phone spam. But I get some legit calls that say either or. [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]

If this is becoming a "harassment" situation. You can a police report and the telco can trace the caller. Unfortunately, (at least here in NY) they will only release the info to the police agency! So be prepared to file charges(or at least act like you will!)

I have had customers *69 the call and tell them that they have thier info and if they don't stop calling they will be reported to the police. (They really don't but 9 out of 10 times the caller doesn't know this) If they are comming in on T1 lines see if your provider has some kind of redial call back.

It's worth a shot.
