Hello, We have a Telrad digital 400 DB7 with an emagen voicemail system. I've had some users complain that when calling in to the auto attendant and dialing an extension number that they receive an "incorrect entry" message. I dismissed this for some time as user error, but the problem kept resurfacing. After some research it does appear that sometimes the first DTMF tone is not understood by the system, resulting in an invalid extension number being dialed. I am not 100% sure, but it appears to happen consistently at a specific instant during the greeting. For example:
"Thank you for calling...." Right about between "you" and "for" if you push the button right then, it won't register... If the caller wanted extension 321 the system would only hear 21 and error out: "incorrect entry, please try again." This appears to coincide with the instant that the port changes states from Processing to Playing File on the system monitor. I can almost make it do it on purpose. Has anyone else had this problem or found a solution?
Thanks

Are you using script messages to answer the call?

I had this problem before!! It works like 80% of the time and some time it doesn't get all the digits. What I did was lower the volume on the auto attendant. You have to telnet into the voicemail. In t3adm there an otpions for parametters then external volume, lower it one or two times but don't do three. If you don't know how to do this just post another msg. or check your lenght sttings in the e-manger, I always use very long here in New york.

I changed my external volume key from 2 to 1 - and we're using PRI so I don't think the length you mentioned applies to us. I can still recreate this problem. Any ideas?

Hello,
This same problem is something I am experiencing as well. It doesnt seem to pick up all of the digits. We also use script messages. Would doing the 2 things you suggested here (lowering volume & length settings) work for me as well? would there be something else I could do as well to aleviate the problem?
Thanks!

I know, but in trying to research the issue I saw it and got excited because I saw that someone else was having the problem Any more clues on what else can be done to eliminate the problem?
