I need info on a replacement - third party - for the Imagine vm. I need ACD RANS, APPGEN call processing, MW lights on and off, etc.
and 16 ports. This will install on analog ports in the S1000. It must be non proprietary.
Any ideas?

I would honestly put in a emagin and stay away from the third party voice mails.

Thanks but they plan on scraping the s1000 in two years and want to reuse the vm with whatever else they purchase. Still, can you give me a few of the cons for staying away from the third party vm?

The Emagen is the best bet. The intergration to the Unite is done by the manufacture. Also the EmaGen can be used on other systems and has some intergrations listed in the root.
But why scrap the 1000 anyway?

As SS said the emagine will work with many system as well as the Telrad, I also don't understand why they are scrapping the system in 2 years instead of just upgrading it.

They bought the first redundant s1000 in beta - 6.3 or so. Naturally the software was buggy. even on into 7.2 and 7.3x they still haven't gotten all the bugs out - namely the 'feature' that corrupts the config and requires a total reprogram from a default.
They don't even want to hear about e2e...
So the emagine voicemail priced at $8000 my cost is an impossible sell. I am open to any selling points to convince them to stay Telrad though...

So... any ideas on the next best platform?

Boy I don't have any problems like that, what 'feature' are you talking about. I would still go with the emagin.
I suppose you could look into the Key Voice if your dead set on using a third party.

I have seen three different systems get their databases corrupted - 2 s400's and 1 s1000. Maybe I have just been doing something wrong. Do you think if we modified a 7.3 system with a 7.2 or 7.1 pcp it would do corrupt the file? After it gets corrupted you see flaky things happen like the display shows 'happy faces' like the message icons some folks use to smile or whatever.

So you have never had to use the fcco auditor (alt + f2) to perform the check....?
And you have never seen a database get corrupt?

To be honest with you, I haven't had any get corrupted, If you are using 7.2 or 7.1 to program a 7.3 you are asking for trouble.
