Can anyone tell me if a ULD card
can only be used with the Avanti phones?

Thank you in advance.

Thanks dtmf.
Do you know if the block is wired the
same as a ELD? Now that I know all
of the phones have to be Avanti on
the card.

Is the wiring of the block the same as,
say, the block for an ELD?
Can I just swap cards? ULD for an ELD?
Can I even just swap a ULD for an EHD?
As I only have a couple ULD and even
fewer Avanti phones to start.
Thanks.

I'm thinking they are the same, I'm sure someone will post if it isn't.
I'm also thinking if you swap cards that you'll need to reprogram the slot to be a ULD or what ever UHD (which is half of a ULD- 8 ports)

They are not the same. ULD 16 port card W/B to Y/B UHD 8 port card. And you need release 7 and above software and you will need to program the card slots for the ULD/UHD.

Thank you for the reply posts.

To be clear, I can swap a ELD with a ULD
without problems. As long as I change system
to show it's an ULD.
Or I can add (not swap) the ULD card and transfer
the ELD extensions to the ULD.

I need to have Rel 7 or higher.
I'm running V6.15 now.

Is it still possible to get Rel 7 software?
Seems I remember I would also need a different MPD to run Rel 7. Maybe that's why I shelved
the idea for 2 years. :-\

Any one got a hot deal on a ipex2?
