I have a S-60 that has been in and working for about 2 years. The customer called the otherday to say that their "Night Button" stopped working. We were not able to connect remotely to check the system so, Telrad called in and said that the extension that had the night button wasn't setup as an attendant phone and changed it. The night button now works but, the ACD login on the phone has now stopped working. I our old database backup of the system, there wasn't an attendant position setup and the night button has worked until now. I would assume that an attendant phone can't log in to ACD and Telrad said that the phone has to be an attendant for the night button to work. Is this true? How did the night button work before? Help, it's my sister-n-laws office and my wife is not happy...
Thank you

The attendent can not log into ACD. And the night button only works if there is a Attendent or answering position. But I wonder did you have the lines ring direct to the ACD or were the lines answered by auto attendent and directed to ACD. i.e. Thank you for calling for sales dial 1... ------------------ ssimpson@oneringtelecom.com Need a Telrad Programmer Kit? The lines are answered by auto attendant and the transfered, i.e. touch 1 for an appointment, the caller is then directed to the ACD.
Thank you for your help...

Thats why you never noticed the night button didnt work. The Voicemail controls day and night announcements i.e 8am to 5pm day greeting and 5pm to 8am night greeting. So maybe you dont need the night button at all? If all calls are answered by auto attnd the only reason you may need the night button is if the voicemail stops working. And if you have a programmer kit you could fix that real fast by logging into programming and pointing the lines to ring a phone. ------------------ ssimpson@oneringtelecom.com Need a Telrad Programmer Kit? It used to be setup on an automatic schedule and it didn't workout very well. Sometimes they have staff meetings or close early, etc. So, we removed that and gave them a night button. It worked until the otherday, I wish I knew how the technician set that up. I have a backup of the database.

I've never tried it with ACD, but I have an idea worth testing. Instead of making the extension with the night button an attendant, make it an answering position. That way you should still be able to login to ACD queues and also get the night button functionality. I know the night button will, the only question is whether or not an answering position can login to acd.
-->prolly deserves a new topic but I'm lazy <--
On a side note, remember how the Imagen's could take the day/night message from the ksu with the night button? you could decide which you wanted to control the messages in one of the imagen setup screens. Is there any way to do that with the Emagen? I've never needed it, but I can't think of one...
