My Company has a customer that decided to switch service providers to save approx 250.00/month. It is a Telrad 128 v7.20 with PRI. They were on a regular T-1. They cutover to a highly acclaimed provider with service coming over Fiber going to a RAD MUX-1E TDMoIP then to our switch. This happened about 3 weeks ago. ever since, we have been out there at least twice a day with the carrier. Thursday I went, 1st time I went on this trouble, I found that all lines were down, all phones out of sync with a loud buzzing, and the green link light was on on pri card and the bottom right red was flashing. I was getting constant frame errors( alm 83 &84). I replaced PRI, MPD, and DPLL after doublechecking all the settings. The carrier had also replaced all their equip. Finally the carrier tech changed the clocking on the stratum 1 to clock off of my switch. Everything came up just fine. WTF? Does anyone know of a Compatibility issue between a 128 v7 and a RAD mux-1e?
Any suggestions? The customer is going back with their old carrier due to the loss of about $40,000 in down time.
Thanks in advance for any help.

It sounds as if your system/CO system did not specify clocking to be remote or host . Causing your clock source to go into "free run" . When the CO changed the clocking to be off your source they synced up and calls could be processed . Just a humble guess .

This is so funny. I just had a custoner ask me if the telrad system was Compatible with the new verizon fiber. I said to him it should be with no problem. He said to me he changed to fiber at his house and it blew up his panisonic system. He was using something that change the fiber to regular pots lines. I DON"T KNOW WHAT'S WITH THE FIBER BUT I HEARD THIS ACOUPLE OF TIMES NOW.
Please fill me in on the out come.

This CO always specifies Clocking to be controlled by their switchroom.
We have another 128 v.7 running fine on the same equip.
The trouble site houses 2 other companies with different systems, which I believe have been running fine. Who knows. one of those jobs I got thrown into halfway through the trouble.
