here's the situation, i've got a customer who decided to switch two phones ext 136 & 137 both on the same port. once he did that one of the phones mute button started flashing and would lock out. while the other would work just fine. i unplugged the phone working and plugged the phone with the mute button flashing and it started working fine, however the other phone that originally was working the mute button is now flashing, basically depending on which phone is plugged in last is the one that the mute button flashes on and locks out. this has got to be something simple any and all help would be appreciated.

The phones must not be display phones, if they were the display would show Dup DN. Unplug both phones, plug them back in one at a time holding the # button. Wait for the leds to all light and release the #. You have just cleared the DN of the phone. When the MSG DND Mute SPKR button start to scroll enter the DN and #. Now do the same with the other phone. See if that helps.
