Does anyone know what the difference is between a Spectralink RCC400 and RCC410? The RCC410 is significantly cheaper than the RCC400, but based on descriptions, they seem pretty similar to me.

Thanks!

Justin

Justin I thought the 400 was the high-density base and the 410 was the standard base station even though the pricing books seem to refer to them both as standard base stations. Again that is my understanding which is why the 400 is more. It is supposed to be used in high traffic situations where you need more than the four channels of the the 410. I am going to submit this but will aslo double check.

just confirmed that the RCC400 is the high density base. the text below is a snipet from tech bulletin:

Installing High Density Base Stations on a Link 3000.
Description: This document describes the steps needed to install high density Base Stations on a Link 3000 system. High density Base Stations may only be used in a Link 3000 system. They can not be installed in a Link 150 system. Normal and high density Base Stations can not be intermixed within a system.
Setup: The following steps detail how to install and configure the Base Stations.
Step #1 Install the proper Base Station(s) to the correct location(s). The model number of the high density Base Station is RCH400.
Step #2 Configure the Base Station to be high density in chk3000. This is done from
the F4 screen. When editing the Base Station, move the cursor to the “High Density?” selection. Press the right arrow, highlight “Yes”, and press Enter.
When finished select “Save” and press Enter.
Configure all installed Base Stations in this manor.
Hope this helps.

That bulletin referred to the RCH400, not the RCC400. Was there something left out that referred to the RCC400?

Also, I believe we currently have a mix of RCC400 and RCC410.

Thanks for the response!

Justin
