Hello,
I'm running an S400, vDB6.15. Is there a way I can use an extension number without actually having a handset attached to forward calls outside?
I want to be able to have calls for a specific extension forward to an outside number.
I'm doing that for one person now, but using a connected handset that I have programmed with "feat 35, 2, spd 5xx". I have 3 others to do, but I hate to tie up 3 handsets to do it.
Thank you in advance.

Do you have any analog ports on the system? You can do the same thing with them using the number 7 in place of'feature'. It does prevent you from using the port for anyother inbound calls though. You could use if for outbound calling.

To forward calls to an outside number, you must create a speed dial in the system, and then have the extension you want forwarded to that soeed dial number. Feature 252 sp*** This will will forward all your calls to the extension to whatever speed dial you set up.

Just forward the EXT then Unpluged it. You would need to have it programed on an eld card but you don't have the Phone Working.
So get it to work with a set pluged in then just unpluged it.

Thank you for the suggestions. I thought I could just set it and unplug the phone. Thought there might be a way to do it all in the programming and not have a physical phone. Thanks, again.

You can do that is SB7 and above.
You can do all programing with the pcpsb7 or e-manger for call forwarding.
