I have an AVanti 3020 phone set up with extension 300, and I have another Avanti set up with extension 301. If you call extension 301 and leave a message I have set up to go into voicemail number 300. Also if you dial 300 and leave a message it goes into 300. Anyways, extension 300 has five messages and the message button is lit. If you press the message button it reads on the phone "Dial letters 631" when I try it again it will ring and I am not sure what extension it is ringing. At other times it will go into voicemail. Any idea why this is happening?

What is 631? Is it a VM port? Is it a mailbox of a MDN or hunt group?

Does 301 have a mailbox and you are using the copy function? Or are you using special MW in EmaGen?

The way I set it up was under DID in the configuration. I put mailbox number 300 for extension 300 and 301.

Looks like ext 301 has left a message on 300 phone not a voicemail message just lit the msg light.

Erik As SSphones said, it sound like a call back MSG (silent MSG). I tell my customers to hit the # and then the MSG button. This will turn off the MSG light without deleted any Voicemail MSG's. It will also cancel any call back MSG's that might have been there. The MSG light will light back-up on the next new voicemail MSG. And in DID ROUTING you Put 300 as the MAILBOX NUMBER, No matter what phone you make ring for that DID it will always goto Mailbox 300.

Thanks Tony SSPhone told me the same thing about deleting message (# and message key) and it seemed to have worked. I was going to delete the station and put it again from new, but it does not need it anymore. Thanks a lot I appreciate it.
