Greetings,
I have a Telrad 128 system running SB7 software currently working with T-1 service. Planning to upgrade to PRI service and just wanted to check with the experts on doing this change over. I think I have the programming down, although it has been a while. Just wanted to check and see if I need any additional equipment other the the PRI card. The system should already have the clocking equipment it needs to be currently using T-1 service.
Any advise would be helpful. Thanks in advance. . .

If you have a T-1 card working already then the DPLL Clock Hardware must be on the MPD already. All you should need is the PRI Card. But I would also invest in a CSU too. You should upgrade to the lastest in SB7. I remember there was some issues with the CID Emergency but not sure.

Thanks Tony. I believe they have a CSU Ace in place with the existing T-1. I'll also look into the software upgrade. . .
Upgrade is scheduled for next Monday, hopefully I won't have to put up any frantic posts!
Thanks again.

If you have a ONS or HONS you may have to use the Stratum DPLL to correct clocking when you switch to the PRI. Just a FYI

Getting ready to do this upgrade today, waiting for the phone company to get their ducks in a row. . .
Curious if anyone can tell me what the LED on the PRI24 card indicate? There are two red LEDs side by side about half way down the card, both flashing in sequence. Then there is a group of four LEDs below that, green & amber on top, two red on bottom, and the green one is flashing. If anyone can share, it would be appreciated. Thanks

The 2 top red LEDs should flash this is the connection to the system, microcontroller and microprocessor. The green Led will be lit when you sinc with the CO. A flashing Green means you are set for secondary timing. Flashing is ok. You did install a CSU between the smart jack and the PRI card? You better if you want this to stay up.

I did and the PRI is up and working. WOO HOO! Thank you for the great advice
One last question though. . . they are running SB7.01 software with Staion 30 phones. I'm having a trouble with the Caller ID. Inbound Caller ID is only showing on Executive sets and not one the 2-line displays. I hope you won't say they need a software upgrade. . . haven't done one of those in a looooong time. Also, I can't seem to figure out how to program DNIS for Outbound calls per extension. I found in Station Features where I can put in their 4 digit extension to be sent out, but that's all it sends out then. ??

Change CID Priority to high in Station Attributes.(should fix CID issue on s30 sets) Make Sure Public DN is in, in the trunk progaming on the pri card.(should fix outbound CID Issue)
You should upgrade that MPD Cartridge. 7.01 is the 1st version of Avanti Phones.(I think this will fix the CID for DID problem and CID for Emergency)
Check MPD chip U-49 it should be 1.4 All you have to do is change the chips in the Cartridge and reloaded. Software upgrades aren't a big deal.
And make Customer Parameter 1 to 128 for international calling.
And good job getting that pri up.

Thanks Tony, the CID priority change did fix the inbound problem. Of course it only shows the incoming CID number, not name and number. Telco said that protocal would probably need to be set for NI-2 to get both name and number. Does that sound as strange to you as it does me? They are currently set for D100 (DMS100).
I'll try adding in the Public DN for the PRI card programming and see if that fixes the Outbound issue.
I do recall doing a software upgrade a long time ago and that it wasn't very complicated. I'll let the customer know we should do this and see what they say. . .
Thanks again
