Is there a way to dial speed dial number from an analog line on a 400 switch?
Can I add Flex number on the lan code, or a feature code? If I do add a feature code, would it be feature plus feature code and then speed dial number?

Yes Just do 7 for Feature, Then what ever the Speed Dial Feature code is (73 in default). Then the Speed dial bin number.
To program a speed dial 7 for Feature then the PROGRAM feature code (76 in default) then the bin number.

Can I add Flex number on the lan code, or a feature code? (answer) Don't know what you mean?

I meant can I add a number on the Flexible Numbering Plan code.
I guess when i look at my Feature code for speed dial there is nothing (-). I do have by default 73 for Trunk speed dial.
Basically what I want to do is be able to call a system speed dial from an analog line.
Would that be under speed dial for system? By this I mean I add a number (let say 79). Then someone want to call speed dial 100 from the system. Do they dial 7 79 100 (this is from speed dial table 1)?

I made the feature code 79, so I dialed 7 79 and the speed dial number and it worked fine.

Thanks

Move 73 off trunk speed dial and put it on speed dial. Trunk Speed Dial should be (-) on default and Speed Dial should be 73.

If all you want to do is cal1 a Speed Dial Number from an Analog Port. Dial 773 and then the speed dial bin number. But you have to change the 73 to SPEED DIAL it should not be on TRUNK SPEED DIAL.

I will e-mail you the SLT end user book later tonight.

Thanks Tony

I was wondering, is it possible to call a speed dial through DISA. I tried doing it but it goes to the operator instead? Can it be done this way?

When it goes to the operator that means something is programed wrong
You should be able to go to a speed dial but, Never tryed it but here's a pervous post that might help.

I am not sure if the programming is wrong, as my DISA does work. I can use the DISA perfectly fine, but the only thing that does not work is the codes for speed dial. For example when I dial 7 79 plus speed dial # it goes to operator. However if I diall an extension and disa code and dial out it works.
It feels like it does not recognize the external keys. If I dial 7 79 and speed dial internally, it works.

I'm not sure if you can uses a speed dial but I would try calling in on the DISA number, dial the extension, dial the DISA code, Then try the 7 then speed dial code, then the bin number of that speed dial. Other than that I don't know without testing it myself.

I'm guessing that 79 is your speed dial code. Default is 73

I dial the DISA number, dialed extension, then dialed disa code and I was in the system. Then I dial 7 (feat code) then I dial 79 (code for speed dial) and it rings operator right away.
If After dialing DISA, ext, and disa code and I am in, I can dial 9 and get outside line and it works.
The problem is that it is not working for speed dial. I will change it to default (73) to see if that makes a difference, but I really doubt i. Also after I tried it earlier with 79 I tried it internally and dial 7 79 and speed dial number and it works that way.
Is there anything else in the programming that I might be missing?
