Don't worry about the name! My speaker phone works just as good as a digital station 20 set. I would check for latency on data line and use the QOS feature. Because when you say calls dropping, That doesn't happen. Choppy can happen cause it's not a Duplex Speaker phone. Thats why when you hit the mute it works better. I would try changing the MIC in that phone 1st. Is this an all IP system or are you mixing digital with IP? Is this a remote phone or in-house? If it's in-house use QOS but if you don't have a QOS router,Try playing with the jitter bluffer or I would get a UHD card and use a DULPEX Avanti set. Also try connect with your own mini switch directly to the TVSE. Good Luck. But upgrade to the latest version!!!!!! (3.46) The voice quality always got better on every upgrade.

ok, thanks, I asked people in my shop, non of them remember the name, one guesses at abu, but that was a guess, the upgrade has been ordered threw telrad, there customer service was telling my customer service that the 3015ips were full duplex , ? , they are sending me a ipicasso to demo but they advised that it is being totally revamped, and the new version is not even on there pricelist yet, it is a mix of ip phones and digital and electronic, its a telrad 1000 with about 600 stations on it (big for me) the customer is building a 300k foot facility accross the street from there current location, interconnected with fiber, the distance from the pbx to the farthest office will be about 2k feet away, past the current phisical limitations of the digital phones, the customer invested into a tvse server so they can move people to the new facility and keep there current extention numbers, did numbers(its a big deal for the customer) I have set up a cisco poe switch directly to the tvse server and feed the hr department directly to it to test the voip system and for them to get use to the new phones, ( no routers, no data, no mixed voice data ) using 3015ip phones the sound quality from the handsets have allways been good, on the other hand the quality from the speakerphones off of these sets have been dismal at best, short range, and sometimes choppy voice. now i have the customer climbing up my backside over the sound quality of the speakerphones, (yes i am done crying now ) so thanks again for all the help and we will try your ideas and see what happens

the conference speakerphone call that was due today got cancelled but the customer did show me that if they use the speakerphone just to dial and retreave voicemail messages its all mostly chop , and this is on all the ip phones, threw the handset its ok, seems as if its not really a duplex problem but more of a low volume problem, or a problem where the voice has been digitalised to many times, just a guess, updates are coming

I have to tell you. I have a IP phone sitting on my desk from one of my customers 2 hours away. They have been having problems with NuVox and international calling. I setup a conf call with NuVox and their off site IT person. NuVox is in NC and the IT guy was at his home. All of the call was on speaker phone. I had no problems. I still think it's a band width issue.

Try playing with the jitter buffer and I just upgrade to 3.48 on the TVSE card.
