I am completely new to Telrad systems and am trying to acquire the programming software for the system at my office. It is a Telrad Key Bx with an ImaGEN voicemail system attached. I don't know the version of the Key bx, but the IVM version is 7.04d. My question is, how can I figure out the version of the key bx in order to purchase the correct programming software?

Open the cabinet, find the MPD card (far left) on the MPD card find the Memory Cartridge the software level is labeled on it. And since you are still Lavel 7 maybe you need to read this

Thanks for the quick response and info. Unfortunately, I can't see the memory cartridge. I should have mentioned that the system is in service and I can not remove cards. Is there any other way to determine the version? Thanks.

If you have Avanti phones on the system you have to have atleast rel7 but what version smile . The DOS programmer 7.33b will be able to program Rel7 systems. If it is a 128 use SB7, 818 SBM7, 400 DB7 then you get into E2e which you have to have EManager to program it. You can use Emanager on Rel7 also if it is 7.36 or above. Last Ver of Rel7 was 7.42 and it is not supported anymore so that will be the last Ver.

While you have them in the mood of working on the system it maybe the right time to talk to them about a upgrade, not the whole system just the processor. A IPeX processor with a on board EmaGen voicemail is very reasonable these days. With the specials an upgrade to a IPeX is like getting voicemail for free.

I agree an upgrade is definitely in order. I'll share the information regarding the discontinuation of support and see what happens. Right now we just really need to configure a couple more lines. Thanks, again.
