i have tried 2 differant bluetooth headsets both were of no use in a noisy environment. i was curious as to what other people were using in this situation. any recommendations would be appreciatted

Plantronics and I dont have a suggestion for your noise problem. The headsets are designed to be very sensitive to sound. They have to be because of the distance from the mouth with the microphone.

They do make noise canceling microphones but I can not think of the brand off the top of my head.

Good luck and maybe some that knows more than I do about blue tooth will chime in :thumb:

Same here we use the Plantronics bluetooth head sets for office environment noise levels. And they work fine for most people.
But someone in a noisy environment I would look more to the over the ear cup (with padding) headsets.

tds,thanks for your advise about the jawbone. i bought one a couple of weeks ago and so far i don't have any complaints.it sounds good on my end and people on the other end say it sounds clear and they can't even tell that i am using a headset.

I bought a Jawbone too. Not as comfortable as my Motorola HS 850 and slightly more difficult to use. I had to experiment with bending ear piece (it comes with 4 ear pieces) to get it to the proper place to hold the unit in my ear snug. It does work well.
