We are working on getting an old Telrad 400 system up and running, it has ImaGEN 5.50e for VM. We are trying to use it as an after hours answering machine but it looks like we need AppGen to program it to do what we need.

Can you still get the software and some help if needed to program it. I have a guy on staff that has a lot of experiance with the Telrad phone systems, but I think we will need help on the VM side.

Thanks,

I should ask before we move to find out if the appGen will do what we are wanting to do. I think they want more then the old system will handle.

They asked if the VM system can be set up for afterhours use to answer all incoming phone lines, we have 8 lines. Second, answer them with a welcome message and with options to hit 1 for service times, hit 2 for weather closing info and maybe hit 3 for some other option. I didn't thing they wanted to go this far, but I have to ask. They would also like to be able to change messages on the VM through calling in to the system.

Thank you again.

Will do. But they will need some training on what message to change and where it's done

Once you get the APG software you can change the IVM do almost anything you want it to do. Just keep in mine that the EXT numbers might conflict with your options. That why I always set my options to start at 4.
I use 1 to leave a MSG directly, 2 is usually my Ext’s, 3 is my Dial by Name, 4-9 as single digit dialing.
