A question for all you installers. I dont have any 2 pair wire, but I have a lot of cat5. My question is, can I hook up 2 phones on one cable of cat5 without causing any problems? Instead of running 2 cables to each pair of desks, could I run one cat5 cable and run 2 phones on it.
Thanks.

You could hook 4 Avanti phones up to One cat5e cable. You need one pair per phone. If you are using digital Telral phones you can hook 4 Phones up but you might need Tech Support for that. The old Analog phones Sorry just 1.

Thanks, that made my day. Im using the Telrad Digital, Executive Sets. They have the large display and extended button set on the right of the keypad. I only need to hook up 2 phones on each cable. That makes my job 100% easier, thanks.

If you can SAP them, Loop it at the jack. This way you have the two spare pairs for future use.
