We are in the midst of switching Telco carriers and our new vendor needs to know what leading digits, or how digits need to be sent to our switch for caller ID to function. My switch is a Telrad 1000 with Emagen voicemail. Thanks!!

PRI NI2 would be the best way for CID and for your trunking for that matter. With a 1000 you can't still be using copper CO's ?
Are you using T1 cards? Does the carrier offer ANI? I know here in FL no one offers ANI on a T1 anymore, LECs or CLECs. If you want CID you have to go PRI here.

Yes, we still use copper here, (NE Wisconsin) Telco still has not deployed fiber here. frown They are behind the times. I am in the process of switching local phone service to another provider to get away for CenturyTel and save some major $$$. I'll have to check on your other suggestions. THANKS

You dont need fiber to do PRI. You owe it to your company to ask the new provider about PRI. The only way to do CID on COL/COG cards is a MLX82 and it only provides 8 lines of CID. A new PRI card will do 23 B channnels and 1 D channel for the data. The cost of a new PRI card vs 1 new MLX82 is a easy sell, for a couple hundred more you have 3 times the volume of calls.

What cards in your system have blue tabs?
How many lines do you have? A PRI is almost always cheaper than 15 copper lines, per month.
