we have telrad 3025 phones using IPeX2 E-magen 10.4 voicemail. when we changed the time on our phone system for daylight savings, the voicemail time did not change (still an hour behind). I cannot find any settings in the E-magen software that gives any time info. i 've read on the boards the VM clock should snyc to the phone system, and to defrag with DOS if it doesn't, but i'm not sure how to do that.

Also, when someone receives a voicemail, is there a way to keep the MSG indicator flashing longer?

Thanks for any help!!!! If you need any more info, let me know. I really appreciate it.

Forget about the Defrag with DOS. You have a Linux OS system. The system should sync up with the clock on the Voicemail. I see you have the 10.4 E-magen VM. Try resetting the voicemail through telnet or putty. Also check that you have the mailboxes set to the right time tone in mailbox properties. The last thing I would check is to make sure the right time is in the BOIS of the VM. That's in T3adm, Extra stuff.

sorry, i haven't had a chance to follow up. i'm not sure how to reset the voicemail through telnet or putty. Also, I didn't know how to get to the bios of the VM.

I did verify that the mailboxes are set to the correct time zone.

the VM is still an hour behind the phone system. Let me know if you can help, i appreciate it!

ok finally got the VM time correct. I accessed the system through telnet, t3adm, under extra stuff, #7 change time zone. Then had to stop and start VM for the change to happen. Thanks for your help!
