Hello all. I have inherited a Telrad Digital Key BX with IPEX 2 and TVSE due to a recent job change and have only minimal hands on Telecom base to work from anyhow. Having an IT background as a network engineer has been both a blessing and a curse, but I have been doing my best to learn this beast and have gone from hating it to happily co-habitating with it. I have a ULD 16 port station card on hand and some Avanti phones that are needing to be added.
I have done the usual MAC stuff with the existing cards, but am somewhat unsure of adding new hardware. Any pitfalls to avoid or obvious do's and don'ts? Can I insert new card in while the system is functioning or do I have to take everything down?
Both the former IT staff here and the local VAR in town have left the business owners in the dark and lost all trust, so that has left me picking up the peices without much of a resource. This may be a dumb question, but my config file shows that I have 3 cabinets - the third having two cards that have a couple working lines set up and there are only two actual cabinets. Something seems to be missing. Can someone turn the light on for me?
Thanks in advance.

Sorry Bo what your asking for is way beyond the normal end user and light tech support. You will need to contact one of the MOD's for remote Tech Support.

After finding the site and reading through the many threads, I would not have dreamed my questions were out of bounds. Not sure how to tell the difference. Sorry for the trouble.

Not out of bounds just more info than typing can cover. So much easier to learn from a pro with a few minutes on the phone.

Big shout out to Steve at One Ring Telecom. A welcomed new resource. The time spent on the phone this morning was time well spent and much appreciated.
Highly recommended Telrad resource folks.
