I have a system with an IPEX and a TVSE. The IPEX software is version eCA2.08 and the TVSE is, according to the "about" in the webcontroller, rel 02 build 00.07
I have the 3.48 upgrade files for the TVSE. I do not have anything for the IPEX software. All i found on the website for IPEX is firmware. I can't get to the ftp site anymore. Is there another one?
I don't have the procedure for upgrading system software either.
Really, i just need softphone capablity.
Any info would be GREATLY appreciated.

You should upgrade the Ipex to 3.13. But you need the U62 chip 5.0, I have it working with a 4.5 chip in many places so that should be good enough. The TVSE chip needs to be 3.0 for 3.48 software but you can do a software download from your laptop to the TVSE Card.
If you are not a dealer of Telrad I would strongly recommend that you hire one to do this.
The voice quality in the new 3.48 is flawless. Plus you get the softphone and many other features. You do need licensing for the softphone but most Ipex cards came with one.
I might have a 4.5 Ipex chip, I have the upgrading Manuals.

I have the 5.0 U62 chips. I wouldn't advise going to 3.13 without it. Also Do the TVSE first Software Download to upgrade the Chip and then FTP to load the 3.48 software.
After you get the U62 installed then upgrade to 3.13
