Have you guys ever used Aggsoft for Call Logging? The software seems cheap but I'm struggling to get it to work (yes I know...).
My guess is the lead between my PC COM1 and RS232 Card pinout is wrong, I've been using a standard Telrad programming lead with only the 3 pins connected as it surely is a proprietary lead.
Anyone advise on correct pinouts?
My thanks in advance. Andy

Not sure what I've got wrong. I'm now using Procomm+ and the lead is correct as I can talk to the MPD2 at 115200 baud and view Menu options.
The system just isn't sending any call info out. I've tried another MPD2, different RS232 and COL/CHL cards. I remember the Telrad default settings should just work but I've not installed SMDR for over 10 years! Running 3.13G software.
Any advice is appreciated. Andy

When using after market SMDR software you must use the RS232 off the col or chl and it must be programed correcty.
The pin out is as follow:
From RJ45 to 9-pin com port
TAB up 4 to 5 5 to 3 6 to 2

Cheers Tony. I've tried your pinouts (different from the ones from the manual I was using) and no success. The Serial Settings match on Emanager, as do my Windows XP Com1 settings. I've tried different CHL/COL cards. Nada.
I must be doing something fundamental wrong...

I will double check the pin out in the book later today. Are you programed in the system in IVM application.

Yup, set Serial Apps SMDR to card address, baud & parity. Tried COL, CHL, ONS with RS232 daughter board and RS232 card!
Everyone I speak to says it should just work! This isn't a license issue on the MPD2 card is it?

No License. It just pushes out the information for SMDR.
Try From RJ45 to 9-pin com port TAB up 4 to 5 5 to 2 6 to 3

Thanks Tony, still can't get it working. Tried Hyperterminal on XP and every wiring combination.
Got me stumped.

It should work. If you want us to make a cable and shipped it to you we can. There would be fees involved.

Tony, that's very kind of you but I'm sure it's not the cable.
What do you mean by TAB up?
