Hi All,

My company took over a Telrad 128 v6 with 3 cabinets a couple years back that has had increasing intermittent problems. It seems as though the processor may be the culprit as the system would reset itself occasionally when the programming cable was inserted. We had also received random jarble on the programming screen trying to connect to the system. It had been working fine til a "MSG 34 Minor Alarm T-1 Red Alarm" and subsequently "MSG 34 Minor Alarm T-1 Red Alarm Clear" 1 or more times per minute in the ehu. Customer has been experiencing dropped calls likely because of the issue. Does this sound like a MPD, memory module or T-1 issue? Customer currently has service provider dispatched to see if it's their issue. I am just looking for some ideas on the root cause.

Thanks

Jeff

I have found that if I don't ground myself before I plug into the MPD, the systems resets w/certain customers.

This sound more like a Memory Cartridge problem to me. I would make sure I have a good back-up and Try defaulting the system and do a full system upload.

I would check to make sure you have the DPLL clock on the MPD card but since your having the system problem, it could be an MPD problem too.

I have found in the pass that the MPD would reset on it's own for no good reason.

I would replace both MPD with Memory cartridge to start

Thanks for the reply,

I will keep the grounding thing in mind in the future. The system certainly has a DPLL and I believe we have done a full restore but maybe we'll try that again before replacing the MPD.
