Hey guys. My voicemail and auto attendant shut down this morning. I am not sure where to look for the version, but I believe is was current two years ago. I have routed our calls to go directly to the ring groups instead of the auto attendant, so we are back to answering calls but even after a IPEX restart, the voicemail has not come back up. I dumped the logs and didn't see anything until I looked into the reset (the last group of logs in the console) logs. Here is what I saw: MSG 33 DIAGNOSTIC LINK UP 1 1

MSG 74 DIAGNOSTIC IVM APPL UP 1 1

We have made no changes to the system and the last time the system was restarted or touched was in October when we moved it to our new location. Below is some Emagen info that I have on file. I should have all license information as well because I followed some steps on here last time we had an issue and backed that info up. System was rebooted at 10:30am eastern or so, but no diagnostic info was given past 9:49am which is consistent when the auto attendant went down. Logs were pulled around 10:50am. Voicemail extention is 44 and it is a busy signal when called internally. Auto attendant does not answer the phone, it just rings forever.
Emagen Quick Glance License Info

Number Of Mailboxes Unlimited 46

Put a keyboard and monitor to the IPEX. Might give you an indication of the problem.

Thanks for the quick reply. I hooked a monitor to the IPEX but there was nothing on the screen, maybe there is a screensaver active, so I need a keyboard hooked up too.
I'll have to run back over to find out.
SSH, WEB, and telnet are not running either for it.
No Emagen version is reported in the maintenance console window.
I'll let you know what I find on the monitor.

Reset for the vm is recessed below the keyboard connector. Once you monitor is set up try pushing that to see what happens during reboot.

Thanks for the tip about the keyboard, that brought the screen to life. No need to restart, the hard drive is going bad. ext3-fs errors.
Backup procedure? do I just need to back up the database to move over or is there more to it?
If I have a IPEX sitting on the shelf, can I have two installed in the same cabinet?

Replyed to your email
No you cant have 2 IPeX's in the same system. Also the hard drives need to stay with the IPeX that were on or you will loose your license.

After a restart, it's stuck on the bootup screen to linux. I could probably get to the file level of the drive and get things off of it, but
Voicemails are not a bigdeal to loose, so I don't mind starting over fresh with that. We did have a menu prompt and AA that will be a bit of a heartfelt loss because it was about 7 years out of date.
Is the IPEx as simple as the TVSE to replace?
