My customer is located in a commercial building with an elevator. I'd like to install a phone in the elevator tied to his Strata DK 40 box and have the phone auto speed dial a number (to his security company)whenever the person goes off hook.
The question is how can it be done.

Thanks

if not (assuming you have single line ports)
choose a s/l phone that has a one touch speed dial.

The DK 40 has a ring down circuit but only for single line ext . and it will only ring another ext. on the system . thats in program *38 standard telephone Ring down destination.

You could give them co dial tone and install an autodialer. Fire Marshal and state inspectors are kind of pickey here in the states about emergency communications in elevators. Our rules and regulations are ambiguous at best. Then ADA comes into the picture.

It seems an autodialer will be an adequate solution.

Thanks to all.
