SLT port on a Toshiba cannot be put into DND. Maybe forwarded or maybe just bad port but no DND.

On port 8 I went off hook #601# to cancel any forwarding. Still went to next port in program 33 station hunting. Went into program 33 and took off station hunting to see in fact what the system is seeing. I intercom ext 60 and it said on the display ext 60 DND and kept getting a steady beep. On the display I had a choice of either ovrd or acb. I hit ovrd to over ride and the call went through. Same thing happened with call back, it rang my ext. then vm. I could call any ext. from the analog port even calling outside. I would think that if it were forward to another ext that was in DND then it would over-ride that ext not the analog. Any idea's

Incase you didn't know ext 60 was port 8. They have a 4 port VM on ports 8-11 extensions 60-63. By me testing calling to other extensions, calling out I would say that the port 8 is good. By hitting the over-ride on the soft keys I would also think that it is not cfwd to another port since it in fact goes through to VM when in program 33 I took off port 8 fwd to port 009. So like I said I don't know how or why it follows program 33 and fwds to ext 61 when no call is on ext 60. I am a systems tech. have been for almost 10 yrs started out on Toshiba

I would look thru my voice mail programming and see what is programmed different for port 09 and port 08. My large toshiba manual make a reference to program 31 led 20 and a blind transfer to a DND station for standard ports connected to a voice mail system. Just a suggestion, I may be way out in left field. JBW

remove station hunting and use the distributed hunt group. you have an odd problem. i found switching to *40 from station hunting seemed to cure some reliability issues a few installations had been having. also as phonmeister said be sure you run a ram test (prog00) and one more thing, you may have a mailbox set to DND(if you have a stratagy) m

I have not run a ram test. Everything was working fine, not sure if they had surge or what, they are on a apc backup. I know it is not the vm due to testing, I swapped ports 1,2 with 3,4 line cords and dialed the extension to ring port 1 on vm it worked fine. The problem followed the phone system port not vm.
