Hey guys,
Have a questions about a voice mail program I have and its answering system. When some one first calls in we get a 3 to 4 second delay before the answering system answers and starts working. I was told it was because of the caller id function being on. I have gone through the manual and used program *50 to turn all caller id function off.
*#*#1*2*3 spk *50 hold spk 001-016# then used led button 01 to erase data hold spk ## hold spk ## hold
then ran program 91-2 to move date from temp meme to working mem.
but this did not cure my problem.
any suggestions.
k424 system with 2 cabinates first cabinate is as followes processor rctuc3 first slot processor rctud3 second slot rsiu1 third slot pdku2 fourth slot pdku2 fifth slot pdku2 sixth slot pdku2 seventh slot rstu2 eighth slot
cabinate 2 is as followes rstu2 first slot rcou1-rcos1 second slot rcou1-rcos1 third slot empty fourth slot pdku2 fifth slot pdku2 sixth slot empty seventh slot empty eighth slot
16 total inbound lines (co lines)
stratagy 4 voice mail and answering system. running dos6.22 it works fine but just has the 3 to 4 second delay when dialed directly into from one of the phones or from outside line.
Dont know if it is a system issue or a voice mail issue. I think it is voice mail but not sure. Will post this in voice mail queue also.
Thanks for your time.

In the Stratagy Config you need to tell it to answer in 1 ring for all 4 ports. It's probably been set to 2 or 3 right now. It's been awhile since I've looked at a Stratagy 4, but try Alt T for Tools. If there's no Tools, try Alt S for Shutdown and look for the configuration "n_rings xy". The x is the number of rings before the port answers and the y is the port number. Change to 11, 12, 13, 14 and reboot.
