The company I work for just recieved 3 new Dell m700 notebook computers for the tech department. The problem is that this model doesn't have any serial or paralell ports, only USB, FireWire, and one PCMCIA type II slot. I know there are PCMCIA serial IO cards available that might solve the problem, but they only have RS-232 DB-9 connectors. So, here is my question. Can I plug the dongle key into one of the DB-9 connectors with a DB-25 to DB-9 converter, or does it have to plug into a parallel port? Thanks.

I don't think that will work because the DK Admin looks for the dongle on the parallel port and not the serial port. They do make PCMCIA parallel port cards. Try https://www.transdigital.net/. I don't know if this will work for sure but you can give it a try.
