Most of the CLec's we work with use 2 way DID when installing a T1 or PRI onto a DTI card in the PBX. When setting the channel for 2 way it can be used as a DID for incoming and a wink start trunk for out going. The RDDU is a DID card but can only be used on copper DID lines.

ok we have a customer that told us that their co company will send them 2-way did. and so he wants to do away with all of their loop start lines. and go with these 2-way did because there cheaper. he has a 280 with a b proc. what card will do this. because did stands for direct inward dialing. how can the shiba use one for outbound calls???? please help if you can. thanks alot. oh yeh
now i remember| we used an rdtu i believe.
i bet you some inexpensive phone support by kluevaly is what you need. i,ve done this before but it has been a few years and i had plenty of help. you are going to get into configuration and slot capacity issues. most of the rdtu upgrades i,ve done have involved moving upto c/d processors because we needed
more cabinet slots.

if this 2 way DID is opn a T1 then you can program the lines for TIE DID immediate. The RDDU is for incoming only. It can be done on the RDTU.
