Our DK280 has 7 cabinents. We have 2 uninstalled RCOU1A/w ECOS1A CO cards. These, I know, have to be installed after any current ones to keep the ripple effect away. Our last CO card is in cabinent V S1,With Slots 7 & 8 free there. Cab VI has Slot 2 free, and Cab 7 has Slots 3 through 8 free.

Two questions: 1) Can these be installed without cycling power or powering down. I know prog 3 needs input plus all the other ones when CO lines are plugged in.
2) Cab\n these go in cab 5 or 6 or would it be best to use cab 7?

What software level? I would use Cabinet 6, Slot 2. You have to tell Program 03 where the card(s) are, Code 17. Then, yes, you have to cycle the power or run Prog.91-2. All other programming should be able to be completed without a reset.

The best thing to do is to complete all the programming related to those lines and the cycle the power, then you're covered.

I have TWO of the double cars to insert, so would one go in 6-2 and the other in 7-3?
