We have a Toshiba DK424 and I am interested in adding a IP extension. I currently have our office connected to my home via a VPN tunnel. I would like to have an extension at my house.
Unfortunately, I like to think that I am computer/network savvy but never have tinkered with a Toshiba PBX, which I hear is very tricky. I would like to try to attempt to tackle this though.
Is this possible to do without having to install Toshiba's "CallManager" type software which I do not have. Could someone give me price ranges also? I would like to have the same functionality (extension, intercom paging, etc) from home as I have at the office.
TIA!

I believe that the only way to do this is with the MCK Branch extender. This will allow you to have your DKT 2020 or 2010 phone at a remote location. I do not believe it works over IP. You would need dedicated channels on a T-1 or PRI.
Have you investigated the idea of upgrading the phone system to a CTX? Lots of easy IP solutions there.
