One of our clients has CTX 100 i think its MG 28 software. They have a multiple call group setup for the main incoming DDI. We have set this MCG to ring at 200 which is the main reception and a phantom DN programmed only on 200 to ring immediate and the other 5 reception desks in the office on a delay1. We did this so that 200 could still answer calls once they had cleared down an existing call. Basically so they could stay in the loop.
We currently have to have call button jumping set to enable in system data for this to work correctly, by work correctly I mean that with the PDN free it actually makes the station ring. With Call button jumping disabled the Phantom DN will flash red but the phone does not ring. The problem Im facing is that the customer, well main receptionist, is having problems with the fact that her station isnt busy on internal calls when she is on an external call. What is happening is that she is on a call and if another extension rings her, her PDN is free so the call is ringing this button yet she is on another call. Also she is unhappy when she places an existing call on hold and when another call comes in it rings the station. As far as I can see there is no way to keep this lady happy as the most important thing is to keep that main phone in the loop yet to do this she has to put up with the points I have described. Would everyone concur or am i talking Tosh?

Sounds like an employee that is resistant to change, you'll never make her happy. Her job is to answer the phone. Just tell her "Thats the way it works, live with it." ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/smile.gif)

Hey Guys... I found this on page 28 in the DKT/IPT User Guide....Sounds like the solution.
Advisory Messages Advisory messaging enables you to store an informative message for LCD telephones that call your telephone. The messages can be up to 16 characters long. The Strata CTX provides a number of stored messages, shown in the table below. Message numbers 5~9 can be defined by your CTX System Administrator. > To set an advisory message 1. Go off-hook or press your extension button or phantom directory number button to hear dial tone. Note A phantom directory number button is similar to an extension button that is shared on other telephones. 2. Press #411 + Message No. (see table) + any additional digits (such as time, etc.) 3. Go on-hook or press SPKR to release the line. > To clear the registered message 1. Go off-hook or press your extension button or phantom directory number button to hear dial tone. 2. Press #412. 3. Go on-hook or press SPKR to release the line. 0 OUT TO LUNCH 1 IN A MEETING 2 CALL _____________ Directory Number 76345 3 BACK AT __________ Time (e.g., 1030) 4 RETURN ON________ Date (e.g., 10 20) 5 6 7 8 9
